HCL were engaged by nmcn to supply and install a SR2 perimeter fence and a number of compounds around new sub stations. The site was extremely busy, hosting up to 450 operatives at any one time undertaking a number of simultaneous projects on a live Water Treatment Works.
The solution was to undertake careful planning and regular interface meetings, ensuring access was available to all work fronts on all projects. This required us to be nimble with our approach, not necessarily being able to install on a continuous line as ideally planned.
The outcome seen the project being completed ahead of schedule with zero incidents and zero defects. The collaborative planning and the upfront work allowed us to be reactive when any issues arose ensuring maximum productivity as a team. The end user was also very happy with the outcome leading to further work with HCL being specified on future projects.
